Motorcyclist dies in Gilroy crash

A motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries after a collision with a car in Gilroy on Thursday evening, police said in a release.

Gilroy police and fire personnel found the motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries after responding to reports of a crash between a motorcycle and a car at Gavilan Court and Murray Avenue on Friday around 6:45 p.m. The driver and passenger in the vehicle were being treated at a local hospital with injuries ranging from minor and major, police said.

Police are investigating the incident and have yet to determine the cause of the crash. They are asking witnesses to call Sgt. McMahon at 408-846-0521 or the department’s anonymous tip line at 408-846-0330.
