La Cañada shoe store ransacked in three-minute burglary

A newly opened shoe store in La Cañada Flintridge was broken into and burgled in a quick break-in early Thursday morning.

The store, located in the 800 block of Foothill Boulevard, was targeted just after 3 a.m., according to Lt. Lopez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Multiple items were stolen by what appears to be a crew of three people, as seen in surveillance footage provided to KTLA.

Despite the blaring alarm, the three were able to smash the glass door and cut through the metal barricade behind it to access the business, take what they wanted and flee the scene within three minutes.

A relative of one of the store’s owners said it was opened only six weeks ago.
