Did Taylor Swift subtly endorse Kamala Harris for President?

US

As one of the biggest pop stars in the world, fans are on the edge of their seats waiting to see if Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign. But some think she already has.

The “Karma” singer hasn’t verbally addressed her thoughts on the upcoming election, but her most recent Instagram post has Swifties speculating she may have just subtly hinted that she’s supporting the vice president.

The post, shared on Tuesday, features a carousel of pictures from her Warsaw Eras Tour performance. On the seventh slide, she appears to the left of a silhouetted Harris lookalike in the background. The ambiguous figure appears to be walking in the opposite direction and wearing a suit while giving a presidential wave.

Swift didn’t acknowledge the image in the caption, but rather thanked the sold-out crowd in Poland for making history at the PGE Narodowy stadium.

“Want to thank those beautiful crowds for making us the first tour to play 3 nights in a row in your stadium,” she wrote.

A source close to Swift told the Hollywood Reporter that the image was nothing more than one of the background singers on stage, but many Swifties aren’t buying that explanation.

One user on X wrote, “Taylor Swift just low key endorsed Kamala Harris and MAGA is losing their minds.”

A second fan added, “It really feels like it should be a bigger deal that Taylor Swift left a shadow of Kamala on her Instagram post but I don’t really see anyone talking about it.”

“TAYLOR!!! Tell me more about this pic on IG from Warsaw?!?!” another fan shared. “We all know TS is amazing with her breadcrumbs… hope the deliberate posting of this pic hints at what #SwiftiesForHarris are hoping for!”

If the post was indeed intentional, she would be one of many celebrities who have endorsed Kamala Harris for president, including Ariana Grande Cardi B, John Legend, Lizzo, Meg the Stallion and Quavo to name a few.

This also wouldn’t be the first time Swift has aligned herself with Harris. She endorsed the Biden-Harris ticket back in 2020. The Grammy winner showed off a tray of cookies for the occasion. “Gonna be watching and supporting @KamalaHarris by yelling at the tv a lot,” Swift posted on X at the time.

Swift has openly spoken about her political stance on issues including gun control,, women’s reproductive health and LGBTQ+ rights.
