AUSTIN (KXAN) — One person is dead after they were found unresponsive in the water at Lake Austin, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.
ATCEMS medics said on social media they and the Austin Fire Department responded to 2008 Scenic Drive shortly before 8 p.m. for “a person under the water near the surface” who was “not moving or responding.”
Medics said the adult person was found and was pronounced dead on the scene.
The scene was turned over to the Austin Police Department to investigate, medics said. No other details were released Tuesday.
