Alleged thieves walk out of Long Beach jewelry store with $20,000 Rolex

US

A man and a woman shopped around a Long Beach jewelry store on Sunday and took home an ultra-expensive luxury watch — except they didn’t pay for it.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, authorities were called to the McCarty’s Jewlery on the 5000 block of East 2nd Street at about 6:03 p.m. Investigations revealed that the suspects posed as customers before swiping the watch.

According to stringer service OnScene.TV, the watch was a $20,000 Rolex.

Police said the pair “walked out without paying,” but it wasn’t immediately clear how they were able to establish possession of the watch to begin with.

No description of the suspects was immediately made available, police said.
