IHOP's all-you-can-eat pancakes are back: What to know

US

(WJW) — Pancake lovers, rejoice!

IHOP is bringing back its beloved All You Can Eat Pancakes, now through September 15.

While IHOP usually offers this deal at the beginning of the year, the company explains in a press release they’re running the special now to align with the beginning of the school year “to help families when schedules are tight, and wallets are pinched from shopping.”

The offer only includes buttermilk pancakes that come with certain breakfast combos.

At first, IHOP says a short stack of three pancakes will be served with the breakfast combo. Then, you’ll get free ‘cakes, two at a time.

If you don’t want the breakfast combo but still want the pancakes, IHOP says you can order a full stack of five pancakes for $5.

After you finish that stack, you’ll get two additional pancakes at a time.

The deal comes as many fast food chains, including McDonald’s and Starbucks, have rolled out value menus in an attempt to attract those still dealing with heavy inflation.

The latest Consumer Price Index from the Labor Department shows food outside the home is up more than 4% compared to last June. Food at home has gone up just 1.1% over the same time period.
