Hundreds of far-right protesters clashed with police after staging demonstrations outside migrant hotels.

Pictures show a crowd of England-flag waving protesters outside The Holiday Inn in Rotherham, South Yorks, UK on Sunday.

Balaclava wearing protesters drank beer and shouted slogans as officers lined the street outside the hotel where asylum seekers are housed.

One man in camouflage khaki pants held a large placard which said: “Enoch Powell 1968. Rivers of blood, social unrest, 3 kids murdered. Who’s next?”

The protest comes as a wave of violent disorder sweeps the UK in the wake of the murders of three young girls in Southport, Merseyside.

Another placard being waved outside the Holiday Inn read: “Stopping the boats means stopping the stabbings.”

Another read: “Men don’t flee war and there is no war in France.”

Similar scenes were also evident outside the Potters International Hotel in Aldershot, Hants.

One placard said: “No more squatters staying at Potters” while another read: “House Brits on waiting lists.”
