Man dead after shooting in North Austin

CHICAGO – A man has died after being shot Saturday night in North Austin.

Chicago police said the shooting happened at around 9:15 p.m. in the 1600 block of North Laramie Avenue.

A 33-year-old man was standing outside when a man got out of a black sedan and started shooting at him. The victim was shot twice in the chest and was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital where he died, according to investigators.

No arrests have been made and Area Five Detectives are investigating.
