CPD: Missing man last seen in Lakeview may be in need of medical attention

CHICAGO — Police are asking the public for help in the search for a man who officers say may be in need of medical attention.

According to Chicago police, 72-year-old Jesus Villalpando, was last seen at around 9 a.m. on Friday morning in the 3900 block of North Fremont Street in Lakeview.

Police said Villalpando is known to frequent Montrose Harbor and previously lived in the 3400 block of North Kedzie Avenue, in Avondale.

Officers say the missing man, who stands 5-foot-6 and weighs around 170 pounds, has grey and white hair and brown eyes. 

Villalpando was last seen wearing a dark green shirt and grey sweatpants.

A photo provided by police shows Villalpando wearing a pair of black-framed glasses, but it is unclear if he was wearing them at the time of his disappearance.

Officers say the missing man may be in need of medical attention, but did not provide details on why.

Authorities notified the public about Villalpando’s disappearance in a news release on Saturday morning.
