Police pull body from Chicago river along Wacker Drive

CHICAGO — The Chicago Police Department pulled the body of a man from the waters of the Chicago River Saturday morning.

According to CPD, a 47-year-old man was found unresponsive around 4:30 a.m. in the 0-100 block of East Wacker Drive.

After police pulled the man from the water, he was pronounced dead on scene.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation by Area Three detectives, but the incident is being treated as a death investigation by CPD.
