3 trailers destroyed in Castaic blaze

A brush fire destroyed three trailers in Castaic Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported a few minutes before 1 p.m. at Tapia Canyon and Charlie Canyon roads, said Luis Garcia of the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The Santa Clarita Valley Signal reported that the blaze, dubbed the Copco Fire, started in a junkyard before spreading to nearby plants.

No injuries were reported, but three trailers were fully engulfed in flames.

As of about 1:45 p.m., the brush fire in the area was holding at about 3 acres.
