It’s been a week-plus full of major political news.

Former President Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt and then officially accepted the GOP presidential nomination at the Republican National Convention, held this past week in Milwaukee.

Meanwhile, President Joe Biden continues to face mounting requests from Democrats to step aside, including from Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley, with the Democratic National Convention in Chicago from Aug. 19-22 looming just ahead.
