Raven sculpture stolen from Shoreline trailhead

US

A raven sculpture has been stolen from the Interurban Trail trailhead at 145th Street in Shoreline, the city said in a statement.

The sculpture, called “Emissary Raven,” was created by artist Tony Angell, and was donated to the city by the Shoreline Rotary in 2005.

For nearly two decades, it has welcomed travelers along the trail, a nearly 12-mile route that connects King and Snohomish counties.

The theft came just days after a statue of Hiroshima bombing survivor Sadako Sasaki, Seattle’s only statue honoring a woman historical figure, was stolen from Peace Park in the University District.

Shoreline police are requesting information about the theft. Contact Shoreline police Sgt. Scott Fitchett at 206-801-2756 or scott.fitchett@kingcounty.gov and reference case number C24023871.
