Man fatally shot at Long Beach hotel

A man was fatally shot in a Long Beach hotel room Thursday afternoon.

The shooting was reported at about 3:30 p.m., and Long Beach Police Department officers found the man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body in a hotel room in the 4100 block of Willow Street, police said in a news release.

He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital.

Police are still investigating possible shooters and a potential motive for the attack.
