Red Line shutdown disrupting your commute? You might want to switch to something blue. No, not the Blue Line. Bluebikes.

Insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts is offering free rides on their Bluebikes amidst another T shutdown. All a biker has to do is enter the code MBTAREDJULY in the Bluebikes app to receive five free rides. Non-Bluebike members can use the code, but they must have the app first.

The promotion will last throughout the Red Line closure, Bluebikes says. The Red Line is down between Alewife and Kendall from July 15 to 28, with the shutdown extending to the JFK/UMass stop from July 27 to 28. The MBTA is currently offering shuttle bus service between Alewife and Kendall stations.

You can find a local Bluebike station on their website.
