Naperville home damaged in fire

A Naperville home was deemed uninhabitable following a fire Monday afternoon.

Naperville firefighters were called to the 1300 block of Winchester Court at 1:23 p.m. for a reported house fire. When firefighters arrived, smoke was visible from an open front door.

Firefighters brought the blaze under control within 20 minutes. Two people who were home at the time the fire broke out escaped before firefighters arrived. There were no reported injuries to any residents or firefighters, authorities said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Naperville Fire Department’s fire investigative team. Damage to the home is estimated at $400,000.
