FRANKLIN, Va. (NewsNation) — Mike and Judy McNamara have visited 437 Texas Roadhouse restaurants across the U.S. They’re on a mission to visit every last one of them, with their dog Andy in tow.

The couple have known each other since third grade. They married in 1971, and are recently retired. Now, the McNamaras spend a lot of their time on the road.

The two just returned from a trip where they visited 25 Texas Roadhouse restaurants.

“It’s good food,” Mike McNamara said. “It’s more like home cooking to us. And as time has gone by, it’s not just the food. It’s also the people who work at the restaurants. They are a very big family of employees.”

The McNamaras don’t have a set number of how many Texas Roadhouses they want to visit in a year, but Mike McNamara said they usually dine at about 65 to 70 different locations annually.

“I keep thinking we will slow down because of our age, and so far, it hasn’t happened,” he said.

While the two have been to nearly 440 of the 620 total Texas Roadhouse restaurants in the country, they have yet to try all the items on the menu.

“We rotate around because of being there so often,” Mike McNamara said. “But there’s a few things that we have not asked to try.”
