Hurricane Beryl hits Caribbean Islands, expert offers early outlook on damages, how to help

CHICAGO — Lester Barclay, honorary consul for Jamaica, sat down to talk with WGN’s Ray Cortopassi to talk about the latest details and findings in regard to Hurricane Beryl and its landfall in Jamaica.

Barclay outlined what’s happened in the day since Beryl made landfall, and what to expect in the days ahead as the hurricane barrels into the Gulf of Mexico.

For those interested in finding ways to help those impacted by the storm, UNICEF and Save The Children are two non-profits offering ways to donate toward relief response supplies earmarked for Jamaica.
