Police, fire investigate incident at North Riverside Mall

NORTH RIVERSIDE, Ill. — Police and firefighters have launched an investigation at the North Riverside Mall after an incident that occurred there this evening.

According to a statement from village officials, The North Riverside Police and Fire Department are on scene at the North Riverside Mall on West Cermak Road after an incident that happened a short time before 6:15 p.m. Wednesday.

First responders are urging patrons to avoid the area while the investigation is underway, but they also said there is no immediate danger to the community.
