A man was stabbed and killed in the Bronx Tuesday afternoon after his friend got into a car crash and he tried to intervene in the ensuing fight, police said.
Ronald Gomez-Mesa, 29, was stabbed in the chest at around 4:30 p.m. in front of a daycare on Phelan Place near West Tremont Avenue in Morris Heights.
First responders took him to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where police said he was pronounced dead.
Officials said the investigation was ongoing and police did not immediately have a description of the suspect or further details on the collision.
