AUSTIN (KXAN) — Texas outfielder Max Belyeu ran the bases with reckless abandon Tuesday, swiping four bags while driving in two runs with two hits for the United States Collegiate National Team in a 9-0 win over Chinese Taipei in the International Friendship Series.

Belyeu hit cleanup for Team USA and went 2 for 3 with three runs scored and a pair of walks. He drove in Tennessee’s Dean Curley with a single in the first inning and then plated another run in the sixth with a single. While on his bag-stealing rampage, Belyeu stole two bases in the sixth inning and eventually scored on a wild pitch.

For comparison, Belyeu stole three bases in five attempts for Texas the entire season.

Florida State’s Jaime Arnold, UC Santa Barbara’s Tyler Bremner and Georgia’s Alton Davis II combined to throw a no-hitter in the victory, moving Team USA’s record to 4-0 on the summer. Team USA’s pitchers racked up 14 strikeouts.

Belyeu has started in three of the four games for Team USA, hitting .444 (4 for 9) with four RBIs. He’s one of a handful of Longhorns who said they’ll return for the first year under Jim Schlossnagle.

Team USA and Chinese Taipei cap their five-game series Wednesday at Atrium Health Ballpark in Kannapolis, North Carolina.
