Ten Commandments: Rules for elected office

US

Re: “Louisiana to schools: Thou shalt display biblical text” [June 20, A1]:

I have a proposal for politicians who want the Ten Commandments posted in public-school classrooms. In order to set an example for the children, the Ten Commandments will be posted in the office of every publicly elected official. Anyone who commits adultery, steals, takes the Lord’s name in vain, bears false witness, etc., will be ineligible for any office.

They themselves must be the change they want to see in children.
