A man was pulled from Lake Michigan early Monday near Montrose Beach in Uptown on the North Side.

Around 4:30 a.m., Albert Nazirov, 22, was pulled from the water in the 4500 block of North Simonds Drive, Chicago police said.

Nazirov was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Detectives were conducting a death investigation.
