HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The biggest celebration of Houston’s LGBTQ+ community will get underway Saturday in downtown Houston.

The 46th annual Pride Houston Celebration will open at noon outside Houston City Hall, promising a day of inclusive fun, joy and music.

Later, as the sun begins to set, downtown will come alive with all the pomp and pageantry of the Pride Houston parade, expected to draw upwards of 850,000 people.

ABC13 and Hulu will livestream this year’s parade, beginning around 7:15 p.m. CDT. Just search “ABC13 Houston” in your app store to watch.

Festival tickets are free for visitors under 21 or over the age of 55; everyone else can get in for $10 at the gate. The parade is free to attend.

A big list of performers are expected throughout the day at this year’s festival, including some familiar faces from CMA and “American Idol”.

In May, Pride Houston announced singers K. Michelle and Brooke Eden would join David Archuleta on the mainstage.

A parade pre-show will begin at 6 p.m., with about 150 colorful parade entries, vehicles and walk teams stepping off at 7:15 p.m.
