Midwest Amazon delivery drivers honored for heroic actions

US

(WJW) — A pair of Amazon delivery drivers in the Midwest have been honored for their heroic actions after they saved a woman and her children.

The North Lawrence Fire Department in Ohio awarded certificates of commendation to Alexis Pickett and Damien Patterson this week.

On June 9, the married couple was out delivering packages when they witnessed a mom flip her minivan along state Route 94 in Wayne County.

The van ended up in a cornfield surrounded by downed wires.

Alexis and Damien didn’t think twice before jumping into action.

The rescued mother couldn’t attend the ceremony, but she was grateful that they were being honored for their actions.
