Westbound Interstate 270 is closed near Interstate 25 due to a fire in the tunnels underneath the interstate, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Fire crews responded to reports of propane tanks catching fire in an encampment under the highway overpass, said Sgt. Adam Sherman.

The ramp from Interstate 76 to northbound I-25 is also closed for the fire and drivers should expect delays, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
