DIXMOOR, Ill. — A Chicago man was shot and killed during a cookout at a forest preserve in Dixmoor Sunday night.
Police responded to Dixmoor Playfield, located near Wood and 141st, just after 10 p.m.
Forest preserve police said a cookout was going on at the time when shots were fired.
A 31-year-old Chicago man, who has not been identified at this time, was killed.
