Orland Park man charged in Oak Forest domestic shooting that left 1 dead, 3 hurt

OAK FOREST, Ill. — A man from Orland Park has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of an Oak Forest man Sunday evening. 

Omar Zegar faces aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and a revoked firearm owner’s identification card following what police called a domestic shooting in the 5500 block of Babbette Court on April 21.

Mohannad Othman, 39, was struck in the head and died at a nearby hospital. Three teenagers were also wounded.

Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office could bring charges against Zegar pending their investigation.
