Female stabbed in throat at Los Angeles Metro station: LAPD

An investigation is underway after a female was stabbed at a Metro station in Studio City Monday morning.

Los Angeles police and firefighters responded to the stabbing report at the Universal City B Line Station at 3901 Lankershim Blvd around 5 a.m.

Arriving officers located a female victim who had been stabbed in the throat, an LAPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA.

No further details about the victim’s condition were immediately available.

The suspect was described as a male who was carrying two bags.

It was unclear whether the suspect was in custody or still being sought.

Trains into and out of the station were halted due to the incident, according to the spokesperson.
