The Santa Ana Police Department is asking for the public’s help to help locate a missing critical juvenile girl.

Authorities say 12-year-old Mia Gonzalez was given a ride to the area of the 2100 block of South Pacific Avenue in Santa Ana to hang out with an unknown friend around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

When a caregiver arrived to pick up Gonzalez from the same place where she was dropped off a few hours later, the young girl was nowhere to be found and hasn’t been heard from since.

Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic female, 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighing approximately 120 pounds. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, faded gray sweatshirt, and blue/gray flannel pajamas.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Detective N. Vega at 714-245-8441 or the Santa Ana Police Watch Commander at 714-245-8700.
