CHICAGO — The Democratic National Convention Committee unveiled the logo and its initial branding Wednesday for the 2024 Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

The convention is scheduled for Aug. 19-22 at the United Center. It will take place right after and just down the road from the Republican National Convention, slated for July 15-18 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.

In a news release, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) said the logo for the Democratic National Convention will be displayed across the United Center, where the Democratic Party’s formal nomination proceedings for the 2024 presidential election and evening programming will take place.

According to the release, the logo incorporates several elements, including the Chicago star to represent the host city.

The DNCC is the official arm of the Democratic National Convention, a formal event where, as the release states, the party will nominate its candidates for president and vice president, adopt the official party platform and update party rules and processes.

While the evening business for the convention will be conducted at the United Center, daytime operations will be held at the McCormick Convention Center. The convention has been planned by the DNCC in coordination with the Chicago Host Committee, City of Chicago, State of Illinois and the Biden for President campaign.
