Man, 25, fatally shot in Englewood early Monday

A man, 25, was fatally shot early Monday in the Englewood neighborhood, police said.

The victim was on the sidewalk in the 1500 block of West 65th Street around 12:55 a.m. when an occupant of a silver sedan fired at him, according to the Chicago Police Department.

The man was struck by bullets in the head and chest. He was declared dead at the scene.

Authorities said as of around 2:25 a.m., no one was in custody and the circumstances surrounding the shooting were being investigated by detectives.
