Man fatally shot in Auburn Gresham

A man was shot and killed Saturday night in Auburn Gresham on the South Side.

About 10:15 p.m., Timothy Fulton, 26, was standing with others in an empty lot in the 7900 block of South Ashland Avenue when someone fired shots, Chicago police said.

Fulton suffered two gunshot wounds and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was later pronounced dead, police said.

There was no one in custody as of Sunday morning.

Police said witnesses at the scene refused to speak to officers.
