CHICAGO – Go bananas!

The Savannah Bananas are bringing “Banana Ball” to Chicago in August 2025.

Joining the Bananas on their 39-game tour will be the Party Animals, the Firefighters, and Texas Tailgaters.

The tour runs from March to September and includes stops at Chicago’s Guaranteed Rate Field on Aug. 15 and 16. The home of the White Sox is one of 18 Major League Baseball stadiums the Bananas will visit in 2025.

The Bananas used to be a collegiate summer league team until 2022 when they unveiled “Banana Ball,” a unique brand of baseball that came from a desire to speed up the pace of a traditional baseball game and keep fans engaged.

Banana Ball’s rules include a two-hour time limit, fans catching foul balls for outs, no stepping out of the batter’s box, and bunt attempts warranting an ejection. For a complete set of rules, click here.

Fans looking to buy tickets must sign up for a ticket lottery via the Bananas’ website.
