L.A. County authorities searching for murder victim’s missing vehicle

Authorities are searching for the missing vehicle of a man who was found shot to death in South El Monte. 

The victim was identified as Estevan Mejia, 34, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. 

On Oct. 1, Mejia was found with fatal gunshot wounds on the 300 block of Durfee Avenue.

Investigators did not provide details on the suspect but confirmed Mejia’s vehicle remains missing.

His car is a 2006 gray/silver Toyota Corolla sedan with California license plate number 5VSW902.

Homicide detectives are asking for the public’s help to locate the missing vehicle. No further details on the deadly shooting were released as the case remains under investigation.
