Wrong-way crash on Dusable Lake Shore Drive injures 3 in Gold Coast

Northbound lanes on DuSable Lake Shore Drive were back open on Thursday morning after three people were injured, two critically, in a wrong way crash.

Around 3:50 a.m., a vehicle entered the southbound lanes in the 1100 block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive and ran into a vehicle that was headed north, Chicago police said.

Two women in the striking vehicle suffered injuries to their bodies and they were taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in critical condition, police said.

A man in the other vehicle complained of chest pain and he was taken to Northwestern in good condition, police said.

Citations were pending.
