A woman died Wednesday evening after falling from the roof of a building at the center of the Magnificent Mile shopping district on North Michigan Avenue, according to Chicago police.
The 43-year-old woman fell from the roof of a building in the 600 block of North Michigan Avenue around 6:30 p.m., police said. The woman, whose identity wasn’t immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy is scheduled for Friday.
Police released no further details, but said Belmont Area detectives were conducting a preliminary death investigation.
