Justin Theroux has proven that exes can remain friends.

Aniston’s ex-husband Justin Theroux recently shared a sweet photo featuring his rescue dog Kuma, showing off a thoughtful gift he received from her and her pets.

In the Wednesday, October 2 Instagram Story post, Theroux – who adopted Kuma in 2018 – expressed his gratitude for the Horrible Bosses star’s gift, writing, “Thank you Auntie Jen,” , giving the star a sweet nickname. The note was shared alongside a photo of Kuma looking up at the camera while Theroux held a special package that included Aniston’s debut picture book, Clydeo Takes a Bite Out of Life.

The picture book, which Aniston, 55, announced earlier this year, aims to support The Clydeo Fund, a charitable initiative dedicated to providing resources for rescue dogs, helping them find forever homes and receive necessary rehabilitation.

Theroux, 53, and Aniston first met in 2011 when they worked together on the film Wanderlust. They started officially dating in 2012 and got engaged later that year. After getting married in a private ceremony in 2015, the couple spent a few years together before announcing their separation in 2018. “This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year. We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to continuing our cherished friendship,” they said in a joint statement.

Despite their breakup, they have maintained a strong friendship over the years and continue to support each other. Both have spoken about how important it is for them to stay connected, with Theroux expressing his protective feelings towards the actress in a recent interview with The Times. The Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actor stated, “She is still very dear to me, so of course, yeah, I feel protective,” referring to Aniston’s response to controversial comments made by Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance regarding women without children a month back.

Theroux is currently engaged to model and actress Nicole Bloom, who is 23 years his junior. Bloom turned heads at the Venice International Film Festival back in August where she sported a ring on that finger. People later confirmed that the couple is indeed engaged.
