Aurora police response to fight leads to shooting involving officers

Aurora police are investigating a police shooting that happened when department officers were responding to a fight in a parking lot.

Law enforcement personnel responded to a fight in a parking lot in the 11900 block of East 16th Avenue, according to a 3 p.m. X post.

Police said on X.com that one person had been taken to the hospital in unknown condition and that no officers were injured. They also said the initial call came in at 2 p.m. No other details about what led to the shooting, who fired their weapon or who was injured were immediately available.
