A person was fatally struck by a semi early Wednesday on the Tri-State Tollway in suburban Hinsdale.
Around 4:20 a.m., state troopers responded to Interstate 294 near the Hinsdale Oasis ramp where a person outside a disabled passenger vehicle was hit by a semi truck, Illinois state police said.
The person, of an unidentified age and gender, was dead at the scene, state police said.
One lane and the ramp to the Hinsdale Oasis remain shuttered with traffic being diverted to two lanes on the tollway, state police said.
No further information was immediately available.
