Man shot, wounded in Washington Park

A man was shot in Washington Park on Sunday night, Chicago police Sunday.

The man, 30, was behind a residence in the 6100 block of South Martin Luther King Drive about 7:30 p.m. when a person approached him and shot him, police said. He was shot in the leg and abdomen and was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition.

No one is in custody.
