Toddler injured after shooting in Chicago Lawn, gun recovered

CHICAGO – A toddler was injured after being shot Saturday evening in Chicago Lawn.

Chicago police said the incident happened at around 7 p.m. in the 2500 block of West 61st Street.

A 2-year-old girl was shot in the right leg and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital in good condition. A gun was also recovered on scene, according to investigators.

No other information was released and Area One Detectives are investigating.
