As the season nears, the defending champion Celtics are practicing hard to ensure they’re ready to face every team’s best.

Occasionally, as they did Sunday, they also carve out time to sprinkle some silliness into their day.

The Celtics celebrated family day with a rousing game of Duck-Duck-Goose – or, as many reporters put it, “Duck-Duck-Deuce.”

In a clip posted by Taylor Snow of Celtics.com, Deuce Tatum taps Jayson Tatum on the head and tries to outrun him. Jayson quickly rises up and snatches Deuce like a seagull taking a sandwich.

Another clip, from Celtics Wire’s Cameron Tabatabaie, shows Tatum outrunning a young girl after he tapped her on the head.

Tatum showed no mercy.

A final video, from The Athletic’s Jared Weiss, shows Deuce sprinting around the circle trying to catch a fellow participant to no avail.
