3 injured in Humboldt Park shooting

CHICAGO – Three men were injured after being shot in Humboldt Park Saturday evening.

Chicago police said the shooting happened just before 5:30 p.m. in the 700 block of North Lawndale Avenue.

Three men – ages 34, 35 and 37 – were standing near the sidewalk when an unknown vehicle approached. That’s when at least one person from inside the vehicle pulled out a gun and shot at the three men, according to investigators.

Police said the 34-year-old man was shot in the elbow and taken to Stroger Hospital; the 35-year-old man was shot in the leg and taken to Stroger Hospital, and the 37-year-old man was also shot in the leg and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital.

All three victims were initially listed in good condition.

No arrests have been made and Area Four Detectives are investigating.
