AUSTIN (KXAN) — San Marcos High School is on a “secure” lockdown Tuesday afternoon, and no one is allowed to leave or enter the campus, San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District said on its website Tuesday.

Around 3:58 p.m., the district said the lockdown happened as a “precaution.” The San Marcos Police Department is responding and investigating the campus as a whole, the district said.

The district said to avoid SMHS to allow police to investigate. No other details were available.
