Sean “Diddy” Combs may have been arrested on Monday, September 16 — but that hasn’t negatively impacted his music streams in the slightest.

It’s actually the opposite, as Luminate — a data and analytics company — reports that Diddy’s catalog has seen an 18 percent increase in streams in the week since he was arrested, per TMZ.

The rapper’s arrest — following a grand jury indictment — came six months after his homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided as part of a sex trafficking investigation being conducted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The Bad Boy Records producer, 54 — who pleaded not guilty — is being held on suicide watch in the Special Housing Unit of the detention center, which has previously held stars like R. Kelly, Allison Mack, and Ghislaine Maxwell.

Diddy’s lawyers had proposed a $50 million bail, which included the conditions that he be released to home detention with GPS monitoring to ensure he was not a flight risk.

On September 17, Judge Robyn F. Tarnofsky denied bail for Diddy, telling the court, “I thank your family members for coming, but I cannot release him.” Diddy had been supported in court by his grown sons Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, and Christian “King” Combs, 26.

Meanwhile, his teen daughters D’Lila and Jessie, 17, with late ex Kim Porter, have reportedly been in Los Angeles with family friend Lala amid the arrest and indictment. He also shares daughter Chance, 18 — with Sarah Chapman, a businesswoman and alleged friend of the music producer he reportedly never dated — and Love,1 — with cybersecurity professional, industrial specialist, and model Dana Tran.

The support for Diddy’s music amid serious charges like racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, cause or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution may seem shocking, but it’s unfortunately not the first time scandal has caused a musician’s streams to rise.

After the docuseries Surviving R. Kelly was released in 2019, R. Kelly — who is currently incarcerated in North Carolina after being convicted on multiple charges, including child abuse — saw album sales and streams of his music more than double.
