While WWE is referred to as sports entertainment, there is still a strong connection between professional wrestling and competitive sports.

Recently, WWE NXT saw Indiana Pacers All-Star Tyrese Haliburton help orchestrate a title match between Trick Williams and NXT Champion Ethan Page.

Additionally, numerous athletes have participated in iconic matches, including Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Shaquille O’Neal.

Now, a beloved professional wrestler has made a surprising appearance at an NFL game.

The crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium were gifted an extra treat when they saw former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth “Freakin” Rollins appear on the Jumbotron in a Colts jersey.

However, since Rollins is an avid Bears fan, he quickly ripped it off to reveal a Caleb Williams jersey underneath.

Fortunately, former Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton was there and threw Rollins from the stands onto the field, where he was swiftly escorted away.

Unfortunately, the Bears would go on to lose to the Colts 21-16, leaving Rollins to post, “I. Hate. Football.”

Seth Rollins began his professional wrestling career on the independent circuit in 2004. In 2007, he would Join Ring of Honor (ROH) under the name of Tyler Black. He would go on to win the ROH World Championship and the ROH World Tag Team Championship twice with Jimmy Jacobs.

Rollins signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2010, wrestling in Florida Championship Wrestling (FCW). Later, FCW would be re-branded as NXT where Rollins would become the inaugural NXT Champion.

While with FCW, Rollins won the the FCW Florida Heavyweight Championship, the FCW Jack Brisco 15 Championship, and the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship, making him the first FCW Grand Slam Champion.

Rollins then made his main roster debut as a member of The Shield alongside Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, now known as Jon Moxley in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), in 2012.

Since then, Rollins has become one of the most consistent and trusted wrestlers in the WWE locker room. This would lead to Rollins eventually becoming the inaugural World Heavyweight Champion in 2023.

Additionally, Rollins has won the WWE Championship twice, the WWE Universal Championship twice, the WWE Intercontinental Championship twice, the WWE United States Championship twice, and the WWE Tag Team Championship six times.

Rollins is the 11th Grand Slam Champion and the second two-time Grand Slam Champion. He has also won the Money in the Bank match in 2015 and the Men’s Royal Rumble in 2019.
