LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. – One person was killed in a crash at a truck stop off I-90 in LaPorte County, Indiana.

Indiana State Police said at around 2:30 p.m., a trooper was sent to investigate a crash in the parking lot of a truck stop/rest area off I-90 West (Indiana Toll Road) at mile marker 56.

When the trooper arrived, he found a Toyota Rav4 that had driven under a semi-trailer that was parked in the truck lot. The driver of the Toyota, identified as 73-year-old Marcie Rodriguez of Grayslake, Illinois, was found dead in their vehicle while the driver of the semi was not injured as he was in the sleeper area of the cab at the time of the crash, according to investigators.
