7-Eleven robbed at gunpoint hours after dozens of teens ransacked another store in Los Angeles

Just hours after about 50 juveniles ransacked a 7-Eleven store in Pico-Robertson, another 7-Eleven was robbed at gunpoint in a different L.A. neighborhood. 

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a call regarding a robbery at the convenience store, located on Oxnard Street in Valley Glen, came in at 2:15 a.m. Saturday. 

The suspect came in with a gun and took an unknown amount of money. He then fled the area on foot before officers arrived on scene, an LAPD spokesperson said. 

He was only described as a Hispanic male. 

No store employees or customers were injured in the incident, and as of 7 a.m. Saturday, the suspect had not been taken into custody. 

No further information was available, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The armed robbery of the Valley Glen 7-Eleven comes roughly seven hours after 50 juveniles on bicycles ransacked a 7-Eleven in L.A.’s Pico-Robertson neighborhood.

It is not known how much merchandise was stolen or how much damage may have been caused.
