Man stabbed on CTA Orange Line train in Loop

A man was seriously wounded in a stabbing early Friday on a CTA Orange Line train in the Loop.

Around 4:30 a.m., a 32-year-old man was on the train near the 200 block of West Madison when two people approached with sharp objects and stabbed him in the left side, Chicago police said.

All three exited at the Washington/Wells station, where the man was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police said.

The attackers fled and no other injuries were reported.
